NYU Abu Dhabi Atrium Steelworks Assessment
A detailed investigation was carried out on the atrium steelwork, soffits, and selected landscape areas at NYU Abu Dhabi. The assessment identified coating failure, failed sealants, cracks, efflorescence, localized corrosion, and water ingress at several locations. Testing included ultrasonic thickness (UT), UPV, DFT, coating pull-off testing, borescope inspection, and excavation trial pit investigation. The steelwork was generally found to be in good condition, but coating adhesion and waterproofing deficiencies required remedial work to restore protection and prevent further deterioration.
KAFD Basements – Leakage Investigation and Condition Assessment
VCME completed a comprehensive leakage investigation and condition assessment across multiple basement parcels at King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The assessment covered Parcel 4.07/4.08, 2.05, 2.09, 4.03, 4.11, and 5.03 and combined visual inspections, field testing, water sampling, moisture analysis, chloride and sulfate testing, impact ehco/pulse velocity testing, and ground penetrating radar (GPR) measurements to evaluate water ingress and related deterioration.
Dubai Wharf – PTI Trial
This project was a Post Tension Impregnation (PTI) trial at Dubai Wharf. The scope focused on two selected post-tension tendons in slab B2, including mobilization, GPR tendon location, IE/PV, borescope inspection, port installation, air leak testing, impregnation works, cleanup, and reporting.
